Daley Blind joins Bayern Munich on a short-term deal

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Daley Blind from Ajax on a short-term contract until the end of the current season.

The 32-year-old joins the Bavarians following his departure from the Dutch outfit, where he racked up 333 appearances across two separate spells, contributing 13 goals and 21 assist.

The Netherlands international spent four years at Manchester United between 2014 and 2018 before returning to his homeland, and has made 19 appearances for Ajax so far this season.

“I can hardly wait to play here. We’ve got the most important part of the season coming up, where it’s about titles – and a club like Bayern can win every trophy,” Blind told the official Bayern website.

“The hunger for titles here at the club was key in my decision. I hope I can bring my experience to help the team. I’ll give everything for Bayern Munich.”

Manchester United keen on Olivier Giroud

Manchester United have emerged as rumoured suitors for AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud.

United head coach Erik ten Hag is said to be in the market for a new frontman after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of November.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with a move for Cody Gakpo, but Dutchman has instead joined Liverpool on a long-term contract.

Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix is said to have been identified as an alternative, but Atleti’s €21m loan package – including a €15m loan fee on top of his wages – is proving to be a major hurdle for the interested suitors.

According to The Times, Manchester United are now considering a January move for Milan striker Olivier Giroud who established himself as a first-team regular at San Siro, scoring 23 goals and providing nine assists from 57 appearances in all competitions.

Man United make bid for Dani Olmo

Manchester United have reportedly made an approach to sign RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo.

The 24-year-old joined Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020, and he has made 106 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit since.

The Spain international has scored 19 goals and registered 22 assists for the club in that time, including three goals and four assists in 14 matches across all competitions during the ongoing campaign.

However, the Spaniard has now entered the final 18 months of his contract with the German club and has only started seven top flight appearances this season.

According to Nacional via football365, Manchester United have now made an offer for Olmo, who is also emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City.
